ACCC

Australians over the age of 65 make up more than sixteen percent of our population. We provide a wide range of information and services to help older Australians understand and use their consumer rights.

Active Seniors Health Centre

If you are over 55, have issues with your health or want to improve your strength, flexibility and balance then we can help you. Active Seniors is a global leader in seniors health, focusing on exercise, nutrition, attitude and a healthy lifestyle. They design individualised health and exercise programs which can be done at one of centres with supervision or online via email and video.

Alzheimer’s Australia

As the world’s leading voluntary health organisation dedicated to Alzheimer’s care, support and research, the Alzheimer’s Association strives to improve quality of life for those facing Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. We fund critical research; provide education and resources; raise awareness; and advocate in partnership with government, private and nonprofit organizations for a solution to the global Alzheimer’s epidemic.

Alzheimers WA

Alzheimer’s WA advocates, educates, supports and engages the 41,630 Western Australians living with all types of dementia. Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA provides direct care, support, education and information to assist people living with dementia as well as their families and carers.

Cancer Australia

Government website that provides links to the many organisations supporting and advocating for Australians living with Cancer.

Cancer Council

Australia’s’ peak independent body and the only charity in Australia to work across every area of every cancer, from research to prevention and support. We help people from the point of diagnosis through to treatment and survivorship.

Dementia Australia

Dementia Australia represents the 459,000 Australians living with dementia and the almost 1.6 million Australians involved in their care. If you or a loved one has dementia and you need information, counselling, support, or to connect with others in your situation, then this website can help.

This website is a great reference for all things health and ageing, including fact sheets on an array of current health topics for ageing Australians

The Mental Health Foundation of Australia

Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA) is the oldest Mental Health Association in Australia. Founded in 1930 the MHFA works to deepen understanding of the importance of mental wellbeing via community education, promotion of good mental health and the means to obtain it. The Foundation’s work has been fundamental to changing community attitudes and raising awareness of the importance of good mental health.
